gamecube controller too sensitive?

i just bought my wii....and dl'd mario kart 64 and it seems my wavebird is really sensitive in the joystick....not like the original n64 controller....any fixes with this?

really...u didnt notice that u turn alot quicker with minimal movement...i wonder if im just used to playing mario kart for the ds...and thats why

i noticed when i played DD and the played 64 with the GC controller the 64 was more sensitive ut its probs just the difference in the games or you may have became too used to the other mario kart game.

64 and mariokart ds feel WAYYYY different, ds emphasizes on drifting and turning is verrrry slow unless you have like the best kart for turning, while 64 is mostly turning with some minor drifting and hopping

i like that the graphics are better using the vc than hooking up my n64

It can also be the brand you're using. From experience, I never did like wavebird. An original gamecube controller usually works best for me.
