Can the Wii emulate the Sega Saturn?
Upon reviewing the available consoles being emulated by the Wii for the Virtual Console, I realized Saturn wasn't on the list. Is this because the Wii isn't capable of emulating the Saturn? I think it's debatable whether the Nintendo 64 or Sega Saturn is more powerful, but it's definite they're not light years apart. if the Wii can emulate 64, I would think it could emulate Saturn.

I'm not sure. I would guess the answer is yes, but bare in mind that Saturn games are notoriously difficult to emulate.

I think adding the Saturn to the VC would be a very wise decision for Nintendo and Sega. Despite the fact that Saturn failed, it has many great games on it which many people have never played and probably will want to once they see what the VC could offer them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Wii could emulate Saturn games. It would probably be a good idea for Nintendo to add those games to their lineup, if it is indeed possible.

Guardian Heroes is the perfect game for the VC. It can support up to 6 players.

I would love to see Radiant Silvergun on the VC but I doubt it will happen I don't believe the Wii would be capable of emulating the Saturn.
Apparently the problem is the Saturn has a complex architecture with its dual processors and custom hardware that makes emulation difficult.

Your forgetin one slight flaw
The Saturn pad has six face buttons and two sholder buttons
I think first they will ned a pad with 8 buttons on it
But I wont need to use a wii to play most of the titles mentioned in this thread
(LOLZ I has them)

I'm confused as to what your point is. The classic controller has 4 face buttons and 4 shoulder buttons, making a total of 8.

I don't see why it would be a problem, they also need to ad 32x and Cd to the gensis catagory not alot of games but some fun ones.
They should also snatch up 3DO. It had some of the corny video shooters that would be perfect with the Wii-mote setup. Sega was huge on light gun shooters aswell and has a nice library of classic games on all the systems.
Not sure if they could pull of Dreamcast, emulation of it isn't really hard but the space needed for the games could be an issue. Althoug it did have some of the best light gun games to offer to recent date. Even remakes of the older games do well on Wii.
