Will Earthbound ever hit the VC...

Or will I finally have to break down and play the Earthbound ROM that's been sitting on my computer forever? I've been holding off on playing the ROM of the game, as I'd rather play it on my TV (and legally, I suppose). Honestly, I have absolutely no qualms about playing an Earthbound ROM. Normally, I'm not too keen on ROM's and emulators, but if Nintendo flat out refuses to release a game to VC (as well as the GBA version of the game in the US), why should I feel bad about playing a ROM?

So I guess all I have to say is that I've pretty much given up on the hope that it'll ever see the light of day and that that ROM might be getting booted up one of these days in the near future.

Sorry for the forums 10,000th Earthbound rant.

I have ROMs of all the games I own for the NES-N64. However they are backup at best now sitting on a CD off my hard drive. I hope Nintendo continues to launch more VC games, because I'd rather play it on a controller, on the Wii.

There are games that never launched in the USA that are worth checking out. Clock Tower (SNES), Treasure Hunter G, mostly games made by Square that are almost on par with Chrono Trigger.

I agree, I could play all kinds of ROMs on my pc, but it just seems more authentic through virtual console. I'm only vaguely sure why.
