Does SSB64 on the VC make sense?
There are still people who play SSB64 hardcore. I think it would be pretty nice. I'm sure people would purchase it.

I'd buy it because it's a classic but also so that I could have the whole SSB collection available to play on one console.
And it would be a smart idea because of what I said plus because like you said some people still play it competitively.

I was sure that it would be released right before Brawl's release (similar to how Metroid was released for VC right before Corruption). It will come sooner or later, no doubt about that.

It would also be nice if they made it wifi somehow. Kinda like Pokemon Snap is.

I wouldnt be suprised if SSB is the next VC game for the 64 to come out but i have a dreaded feeling over it being Blast Corpes or Pilotwings, theres alot of things nintendo can do with the wi-fi for old games so lets hope and keep fingers crossed for SSB online.

Nintendo wants to keep the games as their "original" form, the only updates they will do/did to VC titles are bugfixes.
Also it would be too much work adding Wi-Fi support for certain VC titles, im not saying it would be hard work for them but it adds to the workload, also their only making so much off a VC title.

Pokemon Snap had a nice Wi-Fi update and alot has been heard about possible hi score checks with mates using Wi-Fi but yeah it is a far point Dayoh

i would buy it because it's one of my favourite games that i've ever played. I think the first Smash Bros is the best because that's the Smash Bros that I enjoyed the most
Also I would prefer SSB on DS rather than VC

I think it goes back to the fact Nintendo barely releases N64 games on the VC. We will eventually see this game.
