Double Dragon for the NES

I usually don't like to complain, and I've supported Nintendo since I was five.

But that's ridiculous. I guess my Wii points are going to be collecting virtual dust...

At least it's not complete garbage this week.

But why are they only releasing one a week. They only have...I don't know...about 10,000 games at their disposal. They made a good crack about that on the IGN podcast a while ago. Pretty funny.

Well i guess ill download Double Dragon for this one, one of the classic nes fighting games... but ill be playin Mario Kart Wii though like in 2 days!!

I said it once and I'll say it again. Please just hire more people Nintendo! Hire me! I can program, and it may take a few weeks to learn, but having me on should add at least 1 more game a week. Stop baby sitting Japan, start giving Europe, and the USA more attention. Japan's still loyal to the PS3, make them feel the burn by focusing on countries that care.

Double Dragon is awesome!!! It was my first NES game back in the day.

I recently purchased it for my gf cause she has an NES and I totally thought it had 2-player co-op but it does not. It alternates players. It was the arcade game and the sequel that have co-op. I still love it though.

I traded it and got her Double Dragon 2 so we could play co-op. I also hope they add Double Dragon 2 to Virtual Console. I think it is the best in the series.

I've played/owned

Double Dragon (NES)
Double Dragon II: The Revenge (NES)
Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stone (NES)
Super Double Dragon (SNES)

The lack of co-op was due to the NESis lack of power
It could only handle three charicters on screen at once

They need to put the Master system version on there (I whould say arcade version but Nintendo have said nothin about true arcade games)

Or Even the Neogeo version (its based on the film and its quite a good one on one fighter)

I'm downloading the game when I get home but I still prefer the master system version, they also remade the master system version for the genesis back in the day, my brother and i would rent that game every weekend I came to visit, then we would be it but he would let me beat him in the end because always wanted to be on a team.

Double Dragon is great fun, no complaints here really, except for the fact that its only one. A little weak, but Double Dragon is 3 games of fun, so maybe it equals out
