And it's all Nintendo's fault, according to Capcom's Christian Svensson. He claims that Capcom have been trying to get Bionic Commando onto the Virtual Console, but for some unexplained reason Nintendo have apparently vetoed it.

It probably has to do with the upcoming releases of the new Bionic Commando and a remake of the original for XBLA, and presumably Nintendo don't want Capcom to use the Virtual Console as a sort of promotional tool for games on another console, but even so I'd have to say they are acting incredibly foolishly (nothing new there then ).

VC is turning into a joke because they don't want to work at all with Microsoft. It's not about them, those aren't their games, they are Capcom's, Rare's, and Square's games. If I was in charge of Nintendo I'd see this as an opportunity to restore game developer relations, crush Sony, and benefit the consumer. I have a feeling this will become the Wii's greatest flaw as time goes on.

This is normal for Nintendo. They used these methods back in the day to outright crush their competition. It looks like they have no plans on changing that flawed mentality. This is why the PS1-2 dominated, you have to give game developers freedom to sell where they want. Especially now with games begining to head towards downloadable content.

just buy bionic commando for the gameboy advance, its the exact same game, it sucks its not coming to VC but oh well.
