Sweet nectar of the gods. I hope it comes out this summer. I just finally got my emulator working with a nice USB controller and everything. But if it's going to be coming in the near future, I might as well wait.
Are there any rumors as to when it'll hit the VC?
I will "buy a license to play this game on my Wii" as soon as it hits it.
I have a feeling that the VC version will sell at least five times that of what the original cartridge sold.
Despite, it selling for as little as $7. I picked up the giant box version with the guide and everything for $7 from Best Buy. I had no idea what I was getting; I just though the giant box was cool.
Maybe this will drive the price of the cartridges down on eBay. The darn things are selling for around $70 a piece. Mint condition ones with box and manual go for at least $200.

OH I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! Earthbound is one of my favoroite games of all time. I have a SNES emulator on my Pocket PC so it's in my pocket everywhere I go, I can't wait to play it on the Wii. The original Mother has been translated and floating around the internet for at least 10 years (most likely more). It was dubbed "Earthbound Zero," perhaps you've heard of it?
Ahh, yes I have heard of it. You're absolutely right. I don't remember the website name, but just google Mother 3 and you should be able to find it. You can enter your email address and they'll email you a notification to let you know their translation of Mother 3 is finished and ready for download. It's just a patch for the already existent Japanese Mother 3 ROM.
I've never played any of the "Mother" games, but
Earthbound will most likely be a download for me when it's released. I would like to see how good it is.
It must be really good because of all the talk about the game.

One of the greatest RPG's on the SNES.
Mother for Famicom is basically the same GAME as Earthbound for SNES. And the text isnt 100% correct. But its still playable.
I can still "smell" those cards when I think about Earthbound and will probably do so forever. It is just such a classic, brilliant game. I can't wait to get it!
