I'm a huge RPG fan, always have been, and I can't get enough of them. Virtual console has some obviously sweet games, but how awesome would it be if they had FF!? Anybody else think it'll happen?

From what I've read, Square doesn't like the idea of releasing games on VC because they aren't happy with the amount of profit that they'd see from it. Square had some great old-school RPGs (Seiken Densetsu 3, anyone?), but I wouldn't count on seeing them light up the VC. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Square only has 2 titles on VC right now- King's Knight and ActRaiser.

Unfortunately Square is reluctant to support the Virtual Console, presumably because there's probably more money to be made selling remakes for the handhelds.

Jerks. Guess I'll have to Survive on Breath of Fire II. That's really the only one that stuck out for me, I've always been a fan of the series. Anybody reccomend any other RPG titles on the VC that I'm crazy for missing?

Yeah its made by square-enix but its amazing and not final fantasy its called Chrono trigger and that is a well deserved download if it is ever released.

I've never played any of the Final Fantasy's, but i've heard the older ones are really fun. It would be nice to see some of those on the VC.

I LOVE Chrono Trigger. That is a seriously awesome game, it's a shame they didn't continue on it..Nintendo should totally release that one for VC. And yeah Bushybrow, the older ones are really awesome. Final Fantasy III is on the DS, you should definitely check that out, it's probably the best of the old school Final Fantasys. Anybody know if they're putting out a FF for Wii?

Hang on the best old school FF is by far FF4 and its getting remade for the DS. 3 is good no doubt but 4 omg lol

yeah, they're probably going to wait until final fantasy 20 before they stop remaking the same FF games over and over and over and over for handhelds.

They need to stop worrying about making all those FF for PSP and DS and GBA and such, and just hurry up and remake FF7 already. That would definitely be the greatest re-release of all time.

But even if they are holding back from the VC because they're wary of lack of profit, that's totally stupid because they clearly are still selling plenty of copies of the same few games and people are clearly willing to buy the same games repeatedly. Why wouldn't they want to add one more facet through which to obtain money? They're stupid that's why.

Yeah me too. FF7 was definitely a knockout, I own that one obviously. :P FF4 was also sweet, I'd buy that for DS too. But 3 was reaaaaaally gooood. *drool*
