You can make a copy of anything you already own. All my NES, SNES, N64 games are copied into roms.
Wrong. It states in the EULA game of any of those that you are not alllowed to make unauthorized copies of the game in any size shape or form. dont argue, go read them for yourself


There are certain laws that don't even apply to which roms you download. This depends all on licenses. Some games no longer are owned by any company and can be bought out.
It's a brief window, but it also means there is no law against downloading something that is no longer copy righted/licensed.

Except cartridges are too expensive to use as a viable medium these days. In fact, one of the reasons many third parties abandoned Nintendo for Sony back in the late 90s was because Nintendo stuck with cartridges.

Sigh... Here's the law in the USA. If I already own it, I can make a copy for myself, and only for myself. But I'm not allowed to distribute it, share it. I'm sure the law is different in other countries. EULAs often relate to software you can obtain through your computer.

Erm it was an Ice Hockey its really bad with the Wiimote. It might be better with the console controller though.

biggest mistake I made was to download vigalante. It was TERRIBLE, I deleted it off my wii and I'm never downloading it again. Can't believe I wasted 600 points.

i do thorough testing-(playing it elsewhere first), reviews, reading, and much more before i purchase a VC game. i do not regret any i have downloaded. i play them all when i get an urge to play a retro title.

The whole reason ROM sites even exist is because of the loop hole in the law. Look at Napster, and how much power it had before they destroyed it. As long as we are allowed to make back ups of anything we own, there will be plenty of these websites.

Big corporations would like nothing more; than have us buying Indiana Jones on VHS, DVD, Blue Ray, X Ray and whatever formats follow an insane amount of times. That's why the law exists as it is. Without the backup ability you'd buy every movie you own right now, at least 5x more in your lifetime. Which is insane, and unacceptable. Consider where all those VHS tapes go after your throw them away? We are going to bury ourselves in our own garbage very soon if we keep that insane pace up. Study the law more before you dictate what you think they want you to think.

Mine would probably be Sonic 3, because its really hard. I cannot even get past the second level.
