According to the recently updated Scribes section (a Q+A section where questions are sent in by fans) on Rare's website, Rare have said that the chances of Diddy Kong Racing appearing on the Virtual Console are "highly unlikely", at least according to those who worked on Diddy Kong DS.

I would think it's probably down the appearance of characters like Banjo and Conker, who of course have licensing issues surrounding them.

i also heard that banjo kazooie will be a possibilty for XBLA which kinda sucks if it happens.

Erm... why would that suck? Yeah, it wouldn't be on Wii, but at least someone would be able to play it.

Too me it would suck as it was one of my first n64 games and the memories live on but for it to be on XBLA I would find myself tugging between my Wii and Xbox and plus i have a case of achievement junkie lol
