Getting virtual console games from other countries

I live in Japan but I want to get the US version of Final Fantasy IV the after years for my Japanese Wii.

Is there any way to buy US wiiware games from Japan on a Japanese Wii?

If not, is there any other way I can get the game in English for my Japanese wii?

If so, thats pretty stupid. I can buy US PS3 games on PSN from Japan. Is there no way around it? No way to hack the Wii or something? No way to have someone buy it for me and send it as a gift, or no way to get my Japanese Wii to connect to the US Wiiware site?

No there isn't, I'm pretty sure having a US Wii wouldn't work either, I thought the store works by IP address? I could be wrong though. Perhaps see if one of your friends up there have a US Wii?

As far as sending it as a gift, it only works if the other person lives in the same region as you.

im not sure if having a US wii in japan would work unless you have a convertor

I'm as confused as you guys are with this. I am pretty sure it works with IP address, like Ryker said.

LOL so basically im screwed. Oh well, I guess I will just play it in Japanese. Not that big of a deal, it will just take me longer to read the text.
