Motorstorm has the upper edge on graphics, but the gameplay isn't my cup of tea and it seems to not have many tracks.
I like Ridge Racer for its arcadyness and although it's not graphically the best racing game, it still looks hot and the music isn't annoying...that's sometimes not the case with some racing games I know.
I'd say Ridge Racer if you want arcadyness, motorstorm for simulation.

Motorstorm so isn't simulation, lol. It's a great game though, really fun. I loved Ridge Racer 6 on the 360 too though. I'd say Motorstorm has the edge if you're taking it online.

ya, motorstorm isnt a sim, but, it is the better racing game, better graphics,
better multiplayer, better control , better in general, i say go for motorstorm

it really depends what type of games u like, the dirt track racing or the sports car racing where u can drift in 360 circles the whole map without stopping..
motorstorm is much more realistic thats all i can say
