Most people will say Resistance: Fall of Man. It has online multiplayer with up to 40 people. Here's a picture of the box:

You can cheat in Motor Storm. Watch the Gamespot matches. They have this guy named Cheeseburger cheat his way to first place. Cheeseburger didn't expect to win(Because he expected to be disqualified), so he submitted a fake name. Gamespot should have never given him the prize money. Very lame. On the bright side, they are working on a sequel.

WARHAWK. The game is only online,and its good. Huge MMO like battle fields where two sides duke it out, or FFA, and you can drive everything from tanks to air craft, jeeps and turrents.
Its good. Realaally good.

I can see people not loving Resistance. I think I'd take COD 4 over it any day. But Resistance is still pretty solid.

Are you referring to online games in general, because Gears of War is only for the 360, not the PS3. And yes, Resistance: Fall of Man is a great game along with Warhawk.

the two best online games right this second for ps3 are Warhawk and COD4 they are the two mostly played. the reason resistance isnt one of them is that theres too many laggers, glitches, ppl cheating, etc. also because its old, but its still a great game if you like fps (just find a game thats not cheat in any way)

I'm so impressed by COD4, this game has got to win some awards. Gameplay is solid and the visuals are fantastic. I have problems with Warhawk just because of all the technical issues they have had. The newest update fixed my stats for a little while but soon after they went back to airman. WTF

COD4 is the bomb (literally it will blow up your console) but its great game so its well worth it for its online, the reward is better than the sacrafice here,
but if you not willing to take that sacrafice, Resistance has a good solid online and will do no damage
