I don't work at Best Buy however and have not seen anything about a new system or price cut yet.

If the price goes down to 300 I might just end up being a pswii owner. I don't ever plan on getting a 360 but a ps3 will be a great possibility at $300, I'll just have to wait a couple weeks to save up the money

Currently no price drop announced for the PS3 on Gamestop's, Best Buy's, and Circuit City's website. It may be bogus. More likely it's delayed for now.

Damn, I'd even ask for one at that price (40GB) to get MGS4. I think PS3 might have a fighting chance if they keep lowering the price.

@The new article post, good god, isn't 1-2 models good enough? It really turns interest away from a console when people know they won't have the latest and greatest a week after buying it.

At least when I got mine it was the day of the price cut. Oh well I am getting Motorstorm for free anyway so I'm only missing out on 20gb.
