Can anyone help Im stuck on Pirates Carrbiean Worlds End

Hi
I am stuck on Isla Cruces in Pirates Carribean.
I have killed the two guys in the cave but it is a dead end.
I have climbed the vine and pulled the lever, again no way out up there.
I climb back down the vine and end up wandering around in circles.
If anyone can advise me I'd be grateful! I think I may be missing the obvious!Thanks
