Any downsides to buying a 60GB PS3?
I found someone selling a 60GB PS3 along with Rock Band, Formula 1 Championship and a Blu-Ray remote for $425. I am most interested in the 60GB model for its backwards compatibility with PS2 games. I think this is a good deal but I was wondering if there are any downsides to getting the 60GB rather than a 40GB or 80GB model.

It depends. The gamestop sales clerk told me that new 60 gig PS3s arent backwards compatible.

There are no more 60 GB PS3s. They are no longer being made. There are just the 40GB and 80GB. The 80GB emulates the PS2 and the 40GB doesn't. The 60GB is actually backwards compatible.

I'd say jump on that deal.
$425 for a SIXTY gig, games (rock band essentially), and a remote?
If I had the money, I'd get it.
I'd get it right now!
And the 60GB is the best as far as backwards compatibility goes.

Oh god, that's the deal I'm looking for.
The 60GB is your best bet. The only advantage the 80GB has is in size.

Thats a good deal there is no downside to getting a 60gb at all.

I'd get it.
If you're looking to have more HDD space, then all you have to do is install a new hard drive. I've read it's not hard to do at all, and it doesn't void your warranty.
Just look around to make sure you're doing everything right, if you were to do that.

The only downside to the 60GB is that those morons made it so damn hard to find. I don't know what Sony was thinking.
I'd kill to find a deal like that.

The only ones they're making now are the 40GB and 80GB, but I heard that they would start making 60GB's again.

i wish i hadnt bought the 40 gb now though. those card slots and larger hard drive is starting to look really god about now. but that's a very good deal and i say you jump on that shit tomarrow!
