Walking down the PS3 game aisle, I see "The Club" on sale for almost half price. Even though I know it's not the best game out there, I couldn't resist buying it at the price .

So I get home and start playing it, and you know what? I played it for a couple hours, and had fun during all of it. It doesn't have crazy depth or any real story to speak of, but it's just fun. I think this game had the same problem as Viking (although Viking had somewhat of a story/plot), people were reviewing it based on what they thought the game should be. If you go into Viking looking for any sort of deep RPG elements, the game completely fails. There is really no argument to be made. On the other hand, if you look it from the point of a 3rd person beat-em up, with more moves, and an open world, it starts to look a lot better. Same with The Club, if you're looking for Halo/CoD/UTIII when buying this game, it will fail. But if you look at it as a rail shooter, that isn't on rails, it becomes something completely different. I personally haven't played a game that basically has you race around a track (level) in 3rd person mode, doing laps, while killing people that run across the screen, or that are ducking behind some sort of cover.

to be honest i dont think it would buy it though. i played the demo and i know for a fact it would only keep me busy for a very short amount of time..

it was decent, so maybe it would be a decent short amount of time

Yea, I've only played it for a couple hours the initial day since I've bought it. I brought it over to a friends house right after leaving the store, but ended up playing EoJ most of the night (better for 2+ players). I would have played it last night after work, but I ended up bricking my FragFx But I got it working this morning on my work computer (I hope; no PS3 here to test it on), so I'm going to be playing it some more after work.

ooh fragfx. im jealous. but i tried to demo on my ps3 and i really didnt like it.. i mean it was okay as a demo but i cant play a full game like that lol

kinda like jericho, compare it t Halo/COD ect it SUCKS, but on its own its kinda fun to play (except for the fact that it takes 1000 shots to kill an enemy)
