id say if CoD4 is one of the major reasons to get a PS3, get the PC version instead [provided the PC can handle it.. i didnt bother reading the rest of the thread so yea]

Ok you have two games that I don't even care about. You should have said some thing like God of war or kojima's next project or some thing. To me the HD consoles stuff will always be a bad impression of PC gaming. Yet good enough to still wow you guys because guess what this is a shock when you go from PS2 to PS3...LOL Hell if you had an xbox 1 you would know that doom3 had lots of the tech you drool over just less ram and no use of the harddrive of VM maping.

Lost planet is a terrible port and thats on the PS3 the PC version looks just fine and ACreed port looked even better and mass effect port will get even more enhancements. Oyeah devil may cry will look like crysis and run at 120 fps...LOL Seriously man the HD stuff is gimped. I got wireless controllers and mods for the Wii remote all for PC. Oyeah we did get bioshock? and UT3 runs the best on PC.... Soooooo I don't get why you don't like the PC did some one tell you nintendo makes those or some thing?

Metal gear yeah I was a fan of "existence" you know the movie that plays all the cut scenes you have to import it. The game bores me game play wise and Final fantasy well I haven't really like it since the snes , I'm a magical mech type of guy you know steam powered stuff...LOL Metal gear and FF are good games in your opinion yet high end PC gaming IS affordable now. If final fantasy doesn't come out on the PC square will just be shooting them selves in the foot. I mean maybe SONY and MS will sell you these GPUs and CPUs in 2012 and make you pay $600-800 for them and tell you they are they future when I'm going to playing what the developers really wanted to make on my PC no holds bars. Then the same people turn around and complain that the Wii is old tech....LOL At least we got it for 250 and some cool gyros. I mean HD guys paid good money for stuff they may actual already own! These are the chips from the last GPU war that the PC guy had...

I posted the thing about the NG4 guys to show you hype makes you angry and on the PC I get exactly the tech I want with out a lot of promises... I mean really have you seen the new devil may cry PC shots and the fact you can have tons more enemies on screen? It don't get more hardcore than a PC really. Hey but if your a die hard fan of snake then you have to do what you have to do I understand. Yet if you don't want an opinion on it then why post about it?

Any way I'm cool with this get what you like but please enjoy it OK? Fan boys where entertaining when they where fighting but all the crying is getting lame and most of it is because of broken PROMISES! You should really take gaming at face value. You'll have more fun that way. Oh yeah look up "Taito Type X2"
If you want the real street fighter at home you may have to buy this. Which is basicly a Pc down to the mother board. Even with the PS3 having it's own arcade system out they still choose this.... A PC...

WOW I do the same thing with My PC! Amazing?! You get it on the xbox 360 because it's better right? Well hell I get it on the PC because of the same reason! WOW Thank you HD gaming PCs need this so badly.

I never said that the PS3 didn't have some terrible ports. (I agree that Lost Planet is pretty bad) All I'm saying is that there are certain gaming experiences that you simply cannot experience on PC. The PS3 and 360 can have graphics in par with your DMC4 shots. AKA Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Another is multiplayer. It's much more of a hassle to buy separate PC controllers to play with your friends offline. Why not buy a console so you can easily hook up 4 or more controllers to have some fun. Multiplayer is what I'm all about, so I usually can't sit through games like Zelda or DMC. That's why I like consoles more. Every time you sign on to Halo there's what?? More than 70,000 people online. It's way more fun for me that way.

I guess if you're into games like DMC, the PC is for you. But it's definitely not for me. I'll continue to play multiplayer easily on the consoles.

Anyway, this isn't even really about us, the whole point of the thread is for the guy getting the PS3. And if he's into games like CoD4 and Resistance. Why shouldn't he get a PS3. The exclusives are what makes or breaks a console. (SOCOM, Resistance, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid)

Point is, if he likes those kind of games, he should no doubt pick up a PS3.

Cool he should get a PS3 but PC wireless controller on a USB? I mean I only have like 7 ports and 12 on my other PC...LOL But really I hope GTA , M gear and all the games you listed do great numbers I just having a hard time seeing why when I look at whats hot now. COD4 is going to keep people busy for a while! Then 5 is coming...LOL to the Wii. Your right it's not about us but it's cool to have some thing to post about. Did you check those pictures of devil may cry on the PC? Sweet huh? How about street fighter being designed for a core duo? Crazy!

Awesome picks. Also, get Resistence, best multiplayer ever. And Motorstorm and Ratchet and Clank are pretty good as well.
