All was well originally but now this console bores the utter shit outta me I hardly play it the games are good for a quick 5 minute bash at best don't get me wrong I enjoyed alot of titles when they first game out but now it seems the Wii is pretty dull.

I'm thinking of getting a PS3 to satisfy my hardcore needs i'm looking at

COD4
GTA4
Drakes Fortune
Assasins Creed

Those are the titles I will get first to get me going what you guys reckon good choice?

Drakes and AC are renters IMO.

Resistance is a good game if you like FPS.

Chances are, it's just that you've beaten the games. It usually takes a while to get back to them at a later date (so that it's not TOO fresh in the memory). Perhaps this situation suggests you have too much time on your hands...?

If you want to get another console, that's fine. I got a 360, and I'm still going through the back catalogue. I still play my Wii (especially Mario Kart) though. If you're anything like me, don't sell your Wii to get the PS3. Even now and then I get the incline to replay some of my old games, and there's nothing worse than finding you can't quench your gaming thirst.

Seriously get COD4 for the PC... Save your self $500

AC is on the PC also... and drake has great art but is pretty boring game play wise. I think GTA is coming to the PC also... Seriously your buying one for those games? Hey if you want a PS3 there is nothing I can say to stop you! I'm the same way! I keep buying PCs! I think I'm going to get another Wii also.

Really 8800s are $200 now and core duos are $200-300 for the quads ram is cheap also. Yet if you need a blue ray player you could also get a player and burner in a PC drive. yes they are out their! BD-rom burners!

COD4 owns more on the PC. Far far more. It's also cheaper to buy it on the PC. COD4 has now sold over 9 million copies. This game is officially the Halo 3 killer. Halo 3 is over 7 million copies, and not to be outdone Mario Galaxy is almost at 6.5 million copies. Very few games on the next gen market can boast selling over 5 million copies. Very few.

As for playing COD4 on the PC i'm not going to build myself a new computer just to play this lol

I also want to play Metal Gear solid 4, FF13, Sould Caliber 4 so a PS3 seems like the way to go.

Nintendo doesn't seem to have anything decent on the horizon and it's third party support has always and still remains a heap of shit

I think you're making the right choice, as the PS3 will have some killer titles by the end of the year.

There's Motorstorm 2 (4 player splitscreen and online racing), Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet (very creative), and Resistance 2 (60 man online) all coming out in September. Not to mention HOME.

Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Online, and SOCOM Confrontation will also be with us in the future. Drake's fortune has outstanding visuals as well. You'll get a cheap Blu-ray player with your purchase also.

If you're just into online, maybe get a 360, but in my opinion, PS3 will have better games pretty soon. (YES I WENT THERE)

I'd be building a PC if I where you your online other option is going to be the xbox 360 and unless you thinking RROD is a game then you will be getting a PC... since metal gear and FF13 are rumored to be getting the PC port treatment also. The PS3 guys don't really but games that much. Hell $500 dollar is a nice start! It even already has HOME or second life or sims on it!

Dude, chill out with the PC crap, let's face it, the PC isn't really for hardcore gamers. Yes, it has some good games, but if you're looking for a good gaming experience buy a console. Why the hell would you get a PC when you KNOW MGS4 is ALREADY ON THE PS3?!?! It's idiotic.

Even if MGS4 and FF13 did come out on PC (Which it probably won't), it would be a terrible port. Your post doesn't even make sense!!

And by the way, delays happen all the time with great games, to make sure they're perfect. HOME is all online, of course they should spend as much time as they need within reason. (While the PS3 is their lastest console)

I was debating on whether to rebuild my PC for gaming or get a PS3 - I chose the PS3. The main reason was the keyboard and mouse support over the 360, and it's open nature. Although it hasn't been fully realized, I think we'll see some good stuff out of the mod community coming from the PC to PS3. Initially in UTIII, but I think it's going to happen to other games as well. Also if you can afford it, buy a FragFX and update it's firmware to 3.0 - CoD4 is really nice online with it.

i was going to get a PS3 with my tax return, but I'm choosing to get a laptop right now, since I have a 360 already and there's NOT ONE GAME that i personally want on the PS3 that i cant get on the 360. I'll finally be able to get online whilst lying in bed, rather than getting up and going into the next room.

The only reason right now for me to get a PS3 is for blu-ray.

Halo 3 sold 8.4 Million on the Xbox 360 alone

Call of Duty 4 has sold 9 million on 360+PS3+PC (Like 5 or 6 mill on the 360)

But seeing as 360 has more players than PS3 and PC, I think the 360 version is the best if you like playing normal maps. PC has servers and map making? But the way CoD4 is made, aiming is just as easy on the controller as the mouse. So they're essentially the same.

Uncharted is an amazing game, one of my all time favorites. plays like a cheesy action flick and i love it.
Resistance, id wait for resistance two to come out if your not to pumped for this game. i dont like it much.
assassins creed can go either way i like it but cant bring myself to finish it cause its so repetitive. rent it.
warhawk all depends on now much you like third person shooters. i hate the way this game controls. third person isnt my thing. i returned my copy.
cod4. good, should be your first buy.
MGS4/GTA4 are coming out they should both be worth a buy.
heavenly sword, not so much. button mashing...just plain sucks in my opinion.
ratchet and clank demo was really good. want to check this one out myself soon.

If the Wii bores you, so will the ps3 in time. I play my Wii far more then the ps3, and I have top games for both.
