it is true in most cases as prinny has said, u have played one uve played them all. no REAL significant changes besides multiplayer. The only reason i like them is just so i can go screw around with cheats, drive/destroy the cars, and im still playen vide city on PS2

So the new cover system, reworked combat, new presentation of the story, euphoria engine, the new wanted system, the return of barricades by the police, morality choices (not like Mass Effect, but they're still in there), and the sheer amount of additional content of just things to do in Liberty City counts as no significant changes.

This is nowhere near the the last gen GTA games.
Hell, in my mind, GTA3 and Vice City sucked.

But San Andreas brought a good story together that kept me hooked for a while, plus exciting missions and a damn good soundtrack.

GTA4 is looking to push everything to the next level.

all those things you have listed besides the first two (which i admit are pretty significant) are IN MY OPINION, keep in mind, pretty much not that big of deal. no need for personal attacks.

I just don't see how all of that, especially the euphoria engine, isn't a big deal.

Rockstar has said time and time again, "This isn't the GTA of old. This is a new experience."

as far as ive seen, the wii is hardly worth the new technology. its BEST AAA is best played with a controller (ssbb). zelda tp was good, but originally designed for the controller, and mario kart has everyone saying they prefer it with a controller. wiis technology gets old and so far nintendo hasnt put out a new AAA title that uses the wiimote fully and is better with it, till then, youre purchase has not been justified.

regardless of what anyone says, ANYONE, its not opinion based, gta4 is a good game. not as far as personal preference, but the content, the uniqueness, and overall quality of the game is outstanding. if you dont play it thats your loss, no need to post negative things about a game you havent played.

Did you play the MGS4 beta? My brother has it and I was watching him play. It is seriously horrible IMO.

My brother was really looking foward to it and boasted how good it would be but he hates it. After I left I kept hearing him shout "God, this game is so wierd".

MGS4 has EFFING AUTO-AIM, wtf kind of shit is that.

The graphics are also nothing special at all, when I saw trailers, screen shots, etc. I thought they did a real good job visually and it would be one of the best looking games, but I think even CoD4 looks better or maybe the same.

Maybe it's just cuz it's beta, but MGS4 doesn't seem to be as great as I thought it would be and for some crazy reason, when you play MGS4 online the ping on my internet shoots up to 450 average and trying to look at websites takes forever.

P.S. anyone who is getting GTA4 on 360, add my Gamertag (make sure you tell me who you are) because as soon as I get off of school im driving down to Circuit City, picking up my game and going straight home to pop it in.

Also my brother is getting it for the PS3 so if you guys want to add him for someone to play with, i'll find out what his account is on PSN.

Maybe it is just because it's the beta. I guess we'll have to wait and see on MGS4.

As for GTA4, I think some of the fans here need to calm down. If some people don't like the game and state their opinion, don't argue with them as you are just wasting your time really. They're not going to change their mind just because you believe it is a great game.

IMO, I have loved GTA3 and Vice City. I never really got into San Andreas, I guess because there was just too much. Though from reading and watching the review, it looks like the best in the series! I can't wait to get my 360 with this as my first game.

i never said i didnt like. i really like the whole GTA series, and what do u mean my purchase hasnt been justified, i never said i bought the wii for the motion controls. i bought it for the pointing capabilities lol..(JUST KIDDING)

I really bought the wii for the like of there AAA titles. and i do agree with you, Ninty does need to have some other AAA titles on the way. all of thus titles have been released pretty early for the wii,

Metal Gear Solid should keep with single player.
