Anyone here know the release date of the new 80 gig PS3 MGS bundle? I know that the game streets June 12th, and I know that's it's gonna to be online multiplayer (which is awesome), but I have no clue if the bundle would come out that same day.





Check this out! They're also coming out with the Limited Edition Bundle with the gun metal gray playstation 3. I'm wondering if you're gonna to be able to reserve it, or if you're gonna to have to stand in line for hours. lol

I duno either, but I hear this bundle is very very limited edition, so it's gonna be hard to get. Probably shouldn't even bother trying unless you just get lucky.

i am going to get a ps3 and i want this to be the one. can anyone find out if this is available in the USA and when it comes out?

Won't be purchasing this PS3, but I must say, it looks fantastic. They didn't over-do the 'limited edition' look like Microsoft did with the Halo Edition 360. The gun metal color also looks flawless.

I think it comes out in july, not sure though.

EDIT: nvm IGN said it comes out the same day as the game, they said that when we first learned about the bundle a while ago though.

It's $500. OMFG Sony, please kill the $500 price tag. MGS4 does NOT come with MGO. I see this as the launch that harms Sony. This will confuse their consumers who were actually buying more PS3's once they price dropped to $400. Sony can make a huge come back against Microsoft with a price drop this summer, but it can't be a price hike. The game won't move enough units. MGS3 only sold a few million copies. Half the amount of Mario Galaxy, 1/3 the amount of Halo 3. I can't picture this game selling 10 million, even in 2 years.

i reserved the 85 dollar limited edition of MGS4

i am also going to buy the bundle

i will trade in the free MGS4 from the bundle to get some money or sell it on ebay...you might lose some money but, oh well.

get the best MGS4 version..and get the best ps3 system. it will be worth it

MSG4 is going to be released on june 12th so the 80gb should be then or a few days later.

meh, either Way I'm probably getting this bundle. I'm not a MGS fan, MGS4 is just a bonus for me. I want the bundle for the controller that actually has rumble (yay) and the 80 gigs.

I'm really looking forward to Metal Gear Online. MGS4 will be amazing too, but I enjoy playing online so much more.

I read somewhere that it does have a MGO starter pack.

Pretty neat limited edition offering (though I'm more than happy with our regular "Piano Black" soon-to-be-7200RPM-200GB version )

Big marks from the magazine in that link - I'd like to read a little more about the gameplay mechanics, technical achievements, etc. I never really followed the series, but I'm real interested in this one. Hopefully there will be a little catchup on the storyline built right into MSG4 for those of us out of the loop.
