I've played 0 hours online with this game, so if some of us end up getting into a team game tonight, you're basically screwed if you end up on my team

Haven't even opened the packaging yet of my special edition. I'm being unbelievably disciplined and not starting until this group project is complete. One day to go.

My connection is really buggy atm for some reason.

The game has actually frozen on me twice, I think it has something to do with me being disconnected from PSN. I'm getting a network error after connecting to the PSN after about 5 minutes sometimes.

EDIT: It won't let me connect to the multiplayer network anyway - keeps saying try again later

tell me about it... was on last night, played for a while, tried to dial 'multiplayer' on the phone, each time it told me it couldnt connect to the game server/provider.. which kind of sucked.

you getting the same, plus mine crashed twice as well, not impressed. only cure was a restart, which meant losing my progress

I think for the next couple of days getting online and playing online are going to be abit of a nightmare since so many people will be doing the same thing. It might just take them awhile to do a few tweaks so that online won't go down so easily. I didn't actually go on last night i was glued to playing Mario Kart with Redknox, however i did have that problem on tuesday night. As for the game itself actually freezing just generally, i haven't experienced that yet and really really hope i don't if it loses saved data!!!

Yup, it froze but the music was still going in the background. I guess the PS3 is closer to an actual computer than I thought

I saw you online, but I couldn't get anything going on the multiplayer end. I was finally able to connect to a multiplayer game at about 10pm (EST). I only stayed for about 5-10 minutes, but there wasn't any lag that I noticed. Now if it will just work when people are actually online. I was chasing some guy around in a helicopter, and crashed it into his car. The car got caught in the main rotor, and it flew up in the air about 20-30 metres,

Oh and I also added you to my contact list Kettricken. No hurry to accept though, since none of us are having any luck actually playing each other...

They really should've used Sony's servers...their using GameSpy...

I'm not too bothered now though. I actually got on last night and played it for a bit...I didn't really like it.

As for the freezing, a lot of people seem to be reporting that, but I've had absolutely no issues so far and I've played quite a lot.

Yea, everyone pretty much agreed that the freezing - for the PS3 version at least - was caused by the wonky multiplayer trying to connect. Everyone I've seen on message boards is fine after they disable their network connection.

But I don't think that's a problem now, because it seems to be working great. I was in a 45 min team game last night, and it was pretty fun. I'd try some team based games or some objective based games if you were only doing deathmatch Paintballer, they may be more interesting.

I don't know how much I'll be on this week, but I'll definitely be on Thursday - Sunday this weekend, and maybe we can finally get a team game going.
