Getting a Playstation 3 this Saturday.
I will be getting a Playstation 3 this Saturday along with GTA IV. Does anyone have any recommendations for other good games to rent or buy?

Congratulations on your soon-to-come purchase of a PS3. 
I suggest buying Warhawk ( T), and online-only shooter game which offers immense and well-designed map + great weapons and gameplay. It will have you hooked for a while.
Also look out for Resistance: Fall of Man ( M), another shooter with online capabilities.
If you're into racing, Gran Turismo 5 is a must.
Good luck finding the right games.

Yup, and I've heard Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune are very good single player games
But for online I'd definitely recommend Warhawk.

Get COD4 it's a pretty good game.
Warhawk is supposed to be good too though I haven't played it.

Crap... This is hard... GTA4? MGS4 is coming out soon. DMC4 isn't that great, unless you like hardcore difficulty. Basically buy stuff with the #4 in it. God of War 4 should be good too. GoW3 was a PSP game. Yes I count that as part of the series. So GoW for the PS3 will be the 4th game in the series.

its only a download game, costs a fiver from the PS Store, and i find it is hilarious, plus strangely addictive 
(obviously i would recommend others, but people have already thrown in some ideas i would have said...)

i recommend gettin heavenly sword.
most people say rent it but i bought it and have beaten it 4 times, its fun to go back and just keep playing for me.
also you should get SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, awesome game.........sike

I got my PS3 with GTA IV today. Sometime, I may get a HDTV as I only have a standard tv currently.
I went to my local video store to see if there are any good games to rent, but with no luck.
