Official Rate my Team Thread - Due when +500 posts.

Welcome to the Official Rate my team thread

Several people requested this thread. So here comes. Nothing to explain, just the rules:

1st Post your entire team (not one pokemon... as it is a team rater.
2nd Make sure you write down all 6 pokemons, their natures, their attacks and if you wish, the stats... this last one is not a must, but the other 3 are.
3rd Just rate the teams above. DO NOT FLAME We all must try to content our feeling (Even I, as I do not like Tyranitar) If you do not like the team... Do not say, “It sucks” Rate the team and say why you do not like it, pokemon by pokemon. Try to rate as accurate as possible. The better you post, the most you will help the user.
4th This thread is going to be cleaned up when it reaches 500 posts. By this way, it won't get crowded.
5th Request of Rep = Instant Ban

All good except Blissey.
Take out Seismic Toss for refresh. (Just my self-healing Blissey idea)

Refresh is crap since Blissey should normally be using natural cure as it's ability and aromatherapy heals the status of all your pokemon.

Seismic toss is like a must on Blissey. I'm too lazy to rate the team atm sorry.

PM me if you add me in either.

If you need any help on playing either of these two games competitively just drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do. I'll rate your team for you as well (not Tetris lol), but make sure it has EVs, natures, items and descriptions.
I'll also help with almost any other DS game including MKDS, DKRDS, MPH, CoD4MW, EBA. Note: I say competitive alot and I like to win lol.

the team is well set up with moves... but three pokemon are weak to ghost type attacks..

I agree with massi4ah. Seismic toss is an absolute must on a Blissey. If you have access to Pokemon Emerald, you can learn it from the move tutor and pal park it hence. I'm not sure if it's a viable egg move. Aromatherapy is also infinitely useful, but a very good call with Counter there. Blissey's got such ridiculous HP and such bad def that anything physical that doesn't kill it will ohko the opponent.

Here's my latest Battle Tower team:

Starmie Azathoth (oh, look it up)
Natural Cure, Life Orb
Modest Nature, 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Surf / Recover

Garchomp Jabberwock
Sand Veil, Choice Band
Jolly Nature, 255 Atk / 255 Spd
Crunch, Outrage, Stone Edge, Earthquake

Infernape Prometheus
Blaze, Expert Belt
Adamant Nature, 255 Atk / 255 Spd
Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Flare Blitz, Thunderpunch

This team's almost identical to the one I had that made it to the 70s in Battle Tower. I simply replaced an Encore/DBond Wobuffet with the Infernape. This makes up for the problems the other two had in dealing with pesky plant and ice pokemon. However, I'm haunted by his almost complete inability to take a hit. Infernape's defenses suck, and one super effective hit is going to take him down. I'm considering a redistribution of EVs, a new item, or even completely replacing it in the lineup with something else that can tackle the things the other two can't. I'd appreciate some feedback here.

Overall team
You have 3 pokemons week to a water type pokemon (capable to learn ice beam with a decent speed such starmie)
That is the biggest fail. However, start over.

Poke by poke
Meganium (modest) - It may die without doing even an attack... you have a risky meganium. I would teach it: Sunny Day - Solar Beam - Energy Ball and Synthesis. By that way, if your meganium is in risk, you may use Energy Ball to ensure one attack, if not, prepare a Sunny day and then you attack in one turn with Solar Beam and also you cure 100% of your HP. Equip it a Heat Rock.

Swampert (Adamant) - Not bad... but I do not like it. Protect has no sense on it, nor hydro pump. Set this: Avalanche - Earthquake - Waterfall - Hammer Arm. Equip it with a Rindo Berry, by that way, it won't get KO that fast from a grass attack. Start using Waterfall or Hammer Arm (Waterfall may cause flinch, and its physical, Hammer Arm is a strong attack with lowers your speed) You need to lower your Swampert's speed, by that way, you may burn your foe pokemon with Avalanche. Use earthquake sparingly.

Blaziken - switch it with Houndoom (I love this fire pokemon, and it rocks) It must be Modest - Attacks like mine: Dark Pulse (may cause flinch) Flamethrower - Faint Attack and Nasty Plot. OK. Here is some strategy, take care with this guy. Make sure it gets flash fire ability instead of Early Bird. Attack with dark pulse (may flinch the foe) or flamethrower. Save Nasty Plot when you see a pokemon weak against houndoom (like a fire pokemon that may waste one turn attacking or a grass, ghost, pyschic (take care with Focus Blast) I would equip this little pal with Lax Incense, by that way, it decreases all foe pokemons accuracy, and it will be harder for an Alakazam to do focus blast on it. Keep faint attack, if a foe does several double teams, you will ensure the attack.

Rotom - Ugh... It is terrible. Change it into Gengar. Modest Gengar with Dark Pulse - Sludge Bomb - Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball. Do not use dream eater... you will take a noob, but a good trainer, will take his/her pokemon away and Dream Eater will fail. You have your electric attack on Gengar, you do not need no more. Equip your Gengar with Expert Belt or an Enigma berry.

Umbreon - I love this guy, but you already have houndoom, two Dark is not nice. However, if you want a good dark guy, I recommend you to go with honchkrow with Super Luck ability and equip it with scope lens. It should be Adamant. Use Night Slash - Sucker Punch - Night Shade and Aerial Ace. With Aerial Ace, you will always hit, no matter the evanescence. Night slash does easy criticals, with Super luck you increase chances to deal critical and with scope lenses you increase even more your chance of critical hit, (around 80% chance) to deal a critical hit. Sucker Punch, use it against a sweeper (physical better) Night Shade will help you to beat tanks such shuckle.

Altaria - Too cute but useless... I do not like dragons and you already have honchcrow. So if you want a dragon, I would go with the common Garchomp. Adamant with Dragon Rush, Earthquake, Outrage (egg move) and Dragon Dance if it can learn it. Equip it with wide lens and you will increase the chance of hitting with Dragon Rush.

I hope it helps.

I'm not sure Choice Lens is even an item. Any Choice Item would only hurt Breloom's one saving grace, the Spore + Focus Punch combo. Good use of STABs though.

Lanturn:Modest Nature
Moves:Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, Thunder Bolt, Ice beam
Ability:Bolt absorb
Item:left overs

Lanturn's one of those tricky type combos that can baffle the inexperienced player. It makes a passable boltbeamer, but I'd consider a SAtk boosting item as opposed to Leftovers.

Gyarados:Serious Nature
Moves:Thrash, Aqua tail, Ice fang, Earth quake
Ability:intimadate
Item:Life Orb

This might be a better candidate for Choice Band than Breloom.

Arcanine:Hasty Nature
MovesExtremespeed, roar, thunder fang, fire blast<---need to replace that with fire fang or flame thrower
Ability:intimidate
item:King's rock

Fire Fang is better than Flamethrower. However, the Hasty Nature would be better replaced with Jolly as this build hardly uses SAtk.

Torterra:Hardy Nature
Moves:Earth Quake, Crunch, Energy Ball, Stealth Rock
Ability:over grow
Item:focus sash

Stealth Rock's addition would make Torterra better placed at the beginning of the line-up. Also, Focus Sash isn't going to prove much help, as there are few Pokes out there that an ohko a Torterra for which you wouldn't switch it out first.

Kingdra:Sassy nature
Moves:Focus energy, surf, dragon pulse, yawn
Ability:sniper
Item:scope lense

This is your third Water pokemon. A good plant poke will tear up your team, and a boltbeamer's not going to fare too poorly either. Yawn is a good way to force a switch, but only on a poke that can take more of a beating. Considering the Focus Energy + Scope Lens combo, you might consider a pokemon that has moves which have high critical rates.

Hmm... As much as I don't want to, this is my new team I'm currently constructing so meh. I kept in mind past recommendations for my earlier team so yeah...

Electivire - Adament - Life Orb - Motor Drive
EV: 252ATK/252SPD/6HP
ThunderPunch
Ice Punch
Brick Break
Earthquake

I've been unsure how to lead my team, but I've done quite well with this every time. Ice Punch dragons, brick break dark types, etc. Life Orb pretty much ensures OHKO on most things assuming I get first hit.

Togekiss - Calm - Razor Fang - Serene Grace
EV: 120HP/92DEF/92SPDEF/80SPD/126SPATK
Air Slash
Aura Sphere
Shadow Ball
Nasty Plot

I use this just to pop into battle once in a while. It's meant to generally poke at certain Pokemon. I'm unsure about my EV spread though, if I want to flinch, I would want more speed, so yeah. But If I were to stick with this, I guess Aura Sphere would be exchanged for Flamethrower?

Dusknoir - Careful - Leftovers - Pressure
EV: 200HP/92 Attack/109Def/109SPDEF

Will O Wisp
Protect
Shadow Sneak
Destiny Bond

Will-O-Wisp to burn, use protect to benefit from Leftovers. Shadow Sneak to fight, and Destiny Bond when necessarily just to mess with my opponent. =3

Ludicolo - Calm - Damp Rock - Rain Dish
EV: 252HP/80DEF/80SPDEF/98SPD

Water Pulse
Toxic
Leech Seed
Rain Dance

My favorite Pokemon of all. Leech Seed first for health benefits. I follow up usually with rain dance assuming I'll last long enough in battle, also helps as a follow up in case my opponent decides to switch out. I'll have rain dance out, and I'll just proceed to Leech Seed again. Toxic if I have to for good measure, and Water Pulse for stab, along with possibility of scoring confusion.

Tangrowth - Impish - Wide Lens - Chlorophyll
EV: 252HP/228DEF/28SPD

Sleep Powder
Power Whip
Leech Seed
Knock Off

If it wasn't for Dusknoir holding Leftovers, this would be holding it. I just don't want to double up on it, doesn't seem right. However Wide Lens does bump up accuracy a little ensuring accurate hits. But anyways, basic knock offer that should tick off anyone who isn't expecting it. Sleep Powder when I have to along with Leech Seed. Yeah I realize that's my second weakness to flying type attacks but meh. I already got the Tangela, and it has really good Iv's in my opinion.

Porygon-Z - Modest - Wise Glasses - Trace
EV: 252Spd/252SPATK/6HP

Signal Beam
Shadow Ball
Tri Attack
Nasty Plot

I think this works. I have trace because I've been breeding forever, and it's the only one with good Iv's [31 in sp attack]. But yeah. Nasty Plot if I have time to work with, otherwise just go on and sweep.

Meganium modest nature
sunny day, solarbeam, grass knot, synthesis
hmm well dont forget that it attack is also very high so a physical attack wouldnt be bad but give it synthwesis because we sunny day it will heal your health fully.
Swampert adament/modest nature
earthquake, stonedge/surf, hammerarm/ice beam, Giga Impact/muddywater/ stealth rock

Swampert is more of a attack pokemon and speed so use physcial moves or special so i can gave a special attack movesert also. But stealth rock and earthquake and really good on swampert just to let you know. Also that nature is yuck raises defense and lowers speed. Try an adament nature if your doing physical moves, and a modeset nature if your doing special attacks. Also dont use hydro oumo its to unaccuract.

Blaziken adament/modest nature
blaze kick, sky uppercut, swords dance, earthquake
dont forget his special attack is also high so if your using special attacks try this moveset
Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Flamethrower, Focus Blast
Also for another attack mvoeset u can try this
Shadow Claw, StoneEdge, Earthquake, Swords Dance
Also that nature isnt to good your nature lowers defense and raises special defense a modeset or adament

Rotom modest nature
shadow ball, thunderbolt, confuse ray, darkpulse I dont think it can learn yawn, and if it could the ioppent would prolly switch out unless you did meanlook. Also thunder is just like hydro pump to unaccruat. Also impish nature? it lowers special attack lol. Try Modest.(i say modest alot lol)

Umbreon gentle nature
healing wish, curse, double team, baton pass

umbreon isnt much of a attacker mroe of a staller or bpasser and this moveset would be good because first use curse it raises defense and attack then use double team but or somtin. Baton pass to somthing with high attack like blaziken or swampert.

Altaria naive nature
earthquake, dragon dance, sky attck, dragon rush
This pokemon has low attack and special attack so the nature would fit it i guess. Also i know dragon rush is pretty unaccurat but its the only physical dragon move it could learn i think.

Im very new at rating teams so firs task someone mreo professinal like chicgoan but i tried my best and also i see you like starters lol. And work on your natures yours wernt to good.

6/10

Porygon-Z: Modest/Timid Nature Item:Wise Glasses
252 special attack/252speed/6Hp

Ice Beam
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Signal Beam

This is a good sweeper, that gets boosted special attck with wise glasses. I would take psychic off and replace it with nasty plot, so u can boost ur special attack 2 stages.

Dusknoir: Careful/Impish Nature Item: Leftovers
252 Hp/40 Attack/109 Special defence/109 Defence

Shadow sneak
Will o wisp
Thunder/fire or ice punch
Pain Split

The Evs havent been done properly because if u have an Impish nature put more EVs into Special Defence, and the opposite for Careful. Dusknoir is best used as a tank and its base stats on both defences are high. Thus, ive given u a different moveset to cater for this.

Gardevoir: Modest Nature Item: Mind Plate
252special attack/200special defence/58speed

Energy Ball
Thunderbolt
Psychic
Shadow Ball

I wouldnt say the best pokemon to use. As u already have a tunderbolter in ur team, i would replace this with Hypnosis. Make it hold choice spec, to boost its special attack.

Metagross: Adamant Nature Item: Muscle Band
252attack/252Hp/6 defence

Zen Headbutt
Earthquake
Brick Break
Meteor Mash

This would be ultra good if u could get a BP before it to increase its speed before it comes in and mayb its attack also. So basically a Ninjax. Good moveset, but make it hold Muscle band to increase the power of phsical attacks.

Aerodactyl: Adamant/Jolly Nature Item: Life Orb
252speed/252attack/6Hp

Crunch
Earthquake
Stone edge/rock slide
Fire fang

Not bad, just change 2 attacks. Stone edge has a good critical hit ratio, high attack power and utilzes STAB, but for doubles Rock slide attacks both opponets and also makes use of STAB.They both are super effective against flying dragons aswell. I put fire fang because ur team is laking fire moves, so this is just there for type coverage.

Glaceon: Modest Nature Item: Expert belt
252special attack/252defence/6Hp

Shadow Ball
Ice Beam
Mirror Coat
Surf
The movepool for glaceaon isnt great but u made great use of it.
Ur team is lacking defencive pokemon, i sugget u think about having a phsical wall (shuckle or fortress) or special wall (blissey) Ur dusknoir acts as a mix wall with the moveset and Evs i gave it

Hope ive helpped
