well personally since sleep is such a dangerous topic, you could go with snore, incase you are put to sleep, or facade if they poison you or such, since it will deal double damage

Snore isn't really usefull when i'm trying to put them to sleep and keep my guys awake.

and Facade is a physical move. Gengar is meant for Sp.Atk so i wouldn't put that move on him.

and i find Facade, even with double damage, to be a weak move

i always made sure my gengar had a ground move back in the day, like earthquake to deal with fire rock and poison types,

true but again, Gengar isn't meant for physical moves. that and i have EQ on a couples pokes in the team already so i'm trying to keep my movepool diverse so that i can take anything down.

well with psychic being your biggest threat on gengar, you're pretty much covered unless you want shadow pulse or another dark move

and i'm still not sure. Gengar has so many options for him so its crucial to pick the perfect move that goes with what i need for the whole team.

On Gengar: I would personally give him Energy Ball. You Don't need Dream Eater since Gengar isn't bulky enough to heal any damage taken. Most of the time, he'll just die. Plus Psychic has horible coverage. If you don't like that, Dark Pulse could be an OK alternative.

On Bliss, Stealth Rock.

Buildwise, this team has great defensive coverage. You should be able to take and dish a lot of damage. I don't know if I like Charizard so mnuch, so if you're open with a swap, let me know.

Would like to test your team myself.

I agree with Fox's Gengar statement. I gave my Gengar Energy Ball because it is a perfect move for Rock, water, etc.

Gyarados = perfect. I have the same moveset but with Outrage.

Once I find my game I will post my team soon..... ugh I am so irresponsible

any suggestions on the Gliscor and Blissey nature? i looked up some info and i'm thinking an Impish Gliscor and a Calm Blissey would work but would another be better?

Well shadow... If youd like to take a walk on the wild side (lol) you could give your gengar this moveset

Dark Pulse
T Bolt
Hypnosis
Focus Blast

Dark Pulse gets much better coverage against lots of common gengar killers. T Bolt for coverage on water, flyers, etc. I suggest this bc it removes a lot of double typing moves. by that, I mean moves on the previous set, they covered many of the same weaknesses. Easy example, both T Bolt and energy ball would cover water. In this set, removing energy ball for focus blast, that gives much better coverage along with basically bitch slapping anyone who tries throwing a dark type or a normal type wall when you pull out gengar. Its the set I use at least, with a Life Orb, Modest nature, Spd and Sp Atk maxed.

Lemme know what you think, its only my opinion. Still your team, so you can have it however you want.

Well on LO Gengar, Hypnosis is a last resort thing when A: Gengar is too weak to take another full force hit or B: Gengar cannot have a hope of killing the target in one hit and survivng or C: They pull out some kind of thing that Gengar just has no hope of killing and you dont feel like switching out.

No matter what way you slice it, LO Gengar is dangerous, especially with the set I said. Hypnosis is kind of filler/balance so you dont have to let your gengar die from draining its own health if you dont want to.

you could replace waterfall with aqu tail for extra power. You could also replace ice fang for avalanche for a few reasons. -5 power, +5 accuray, and lack of unommon special effect, but if gyarados finds himself facing a faster opponent, he could do some serious damage.

as anyone and there mother had already suggested, you could use dark pulse or energy ball. Or focus blast.

calm mind+shadow ball would be a great way to take care of ghost types that seismic toss can't hit. Blissey has a c- special attack, in other words, useable.

Gyarados: Avalanche on something that D.dances? Contradictory. Also a chance for a flinch on something fast (DD) is great.
Charizard: Heat Wave and Flamethrower is a personal choice. Although the accuracy is (slighty) lowered, that little extra power is attractive. I personally like Heat Wave on pokes that are all out attackers over Flamethrower. Although Fire Blast is probably a better choice in this situation for the power boost. Air Slash is a necessity if you ask me.
Gliscor: The whole reason to use a Gliscore is to wall physical threats. Why not max it out? Unless you're going to try and make him a little faster (which I don't recomend) I don't see a reason not to. You COULD raise his attack, but it's pointless to do that unless you are trying to run a SD set. Impish nature.
Gallade: Gallade has OK speed. I say Shadow Sneak is a decent choice only for priority. Ghost is a terrible type for OU battles though. I agree with Night Slash over Psycho Cut since Psychic is also a terrible type in OU play (even with the STAB.

Blissey: He's using it as a normal Blissey. A utility/wall. Yes, Ghosts are a problem, but using Thunder Wave over Toxic is a better idea to deal with ghosts if you ask me because you'll have counters for ghosts (shadow sneak Gallade).

I agree with Fox. I like your Chari. I too enjoy Heat Wave over FT not only for the power boost, but if itzs not able to kill something, the increased percentage for inflicting a burn is completely worth the 5% accuracy drop. Annd, just like Fox says, Avalanche is pretty dull on a DD. I say keep Waterfall over Aqua tail as well bc, with the speed boost from DD, it will either die from Waterfall or flinch, in which case Aqua tail will rfesult in death or a miss.

I was just thinking Fire Blast. But I'm confused. Why is Air Slash a neccesarity?

Nah, look at it this way. Close Combat can't hit ghosts, which is where Night Slash comes in. Psycho Cut gets strong hits on Mr.GengyGar as well as others.
