When you get the 60th star, the Bowsers hide-out is displayed? so you can go to the final showdown?

Yep. I waited til I got 105 (the most you can get before doing the purple coin missions) cause it was better to act as if the game required that many. Cause let's be honest this game wasn't that hard at all, and this mindset made it seem a little bit harder at least.

What I mean is that I can get 60 stars any way, and as soon as I get my 60th star can I fight Bowser?

Not necessarily...
You need to defeat each of the bosses to unlock the Great Stars first.

the 15 last stars are purple comet? are they basically just using the red star to get purple coins like the gateway glaxy thing|???
