something i have always wondered about drybones
i've always wondered if drybones is the skeleton of yoshi, or a koopa, any idea which?

Definitely a koopa. His first appearance I think is in the first castle of world 1-1 of Super Mario World.

yea but in the old 8-bit games he most resembles a koopa i agree but in mario party and in galaxy he looks a lot like yoshi as well.

Dry Bones is the skeleton of a Koopa Troopa. Dry Bones first appeared in Super Mario Bros 3, before Yoshi made his appearance in the Mario universe. It also has a shell, further proving it is a Koopa Troopa.

It's pretty much been confirmed to be a Koopa, if you play Paper Mario: TTYD, the Koopa partner (can't remember his name. XD) sees a Dry Bones laying on the ground and thinks it might be his dad.
