Well it depends on your game preferences. If you are into shooters, fighting games, racing, or sometjing then you may want to look elsewhere. But if you like the adventure games then this is definatly the one for you. Mario Galaxy has several levels(Galaxies). It only takes 60 stars to beat the game(fight the last boss), and to be honest getting 60 is not really hard. But to complete the game you have to get 120 stars and trust me, it's no easy task. I really like Mario Galaxy, the only thing I don't really like about it, is just getting the 60 stars to fight the last boss left me kinda wanting more. I am working on getting all 120, right now I'm on like 90 or something. If you are into adventure games, then I'm sure you'll love Mario Galaxy. Personally that would be the first game I would tell people to buy when they get a Wii. Let us know what you decide.

This game is definately worth buying. It's widely recognised as THE best game for the Wii and has scord 95% or more on the major game review sites. The stats speak for themselves.

I believe Super Mario Bros. is 2-D, right? SMG is 3-D, if you've ever played Super Mario 64(one of my all-time fav games)and liked it, you'll be right at home. Search online for some video reviews of it. Such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD0iW0_zFCU that one. I do not own this video, or having any connection to it, I just think it is a good one for you to check out the game.

I would recommend a purchase, but that's just me. If you don't like Mario 64 and the like, then rent it first, but I personally consider it a must have Wii game.
its an alright game, i mean its fun to play through once getting all the stars. i dont see this game having to much replay value...and the worst part about it is that its soooooooo easy, which makes it kinda boring.

Super Mario Galaxy is with no doubt one big package. I'm very impressed by the amount of work that has been put into making this game, so I strongly recommend it to you.
I don't think SMG is that easy, but you never have to worry about gaming over, since 1 UP mushrooms are everywhere and you can collect an infinite amount of them scattered around in the Comet Observatory (the place where you stay prior to flying off to complete another mission) by walking in and out of the domes. I don't think dying is the main focus of SMG; since you are given plenty of opportunities to try again if you fail.
I suggest renting it. I personally didn't like, though I'm sure you will. In any case, you can easily complete this title in one rent. Not worth $50.
You, my sir, are clueless.
To the OP, the game is better than Brawl, better than Zelda, and better than Paper Mario. If you don't buy another Wii game, and you have Galaxy, you're doing fine.
