The best/easiest way to get coins

What's the best way to get coins. I need lots of them. I need to buy Shroom Shakes which are 30 coins I have no items right now and I'm sure I'm gonna need them.

The easiest way i found to make coins was to Go to level 1-2, and keep going until you hit the town in it. Then go into the shop, and buy all the life shrooms you can. Use the return pipe to go back to flipside, and cook all of the Life Shrooms, and then you can sell them for about double what you bought them for.

I like sitting at the pipe in 5-4 where the cragions flower guys pop out and use Bowser to flame them. It is really great if you are on the phone but it is BORING. (and kind of lame)
