can you jump to chapters?

I recently picked up this game after not playing for a while and can't remember if you can skip directly to a chapter you've already beaten via some magically enchanted pipe or what not. I thought you could but I can't remember how! I left chapter 3-4 before going into the geeky chameleon's castle to get some shroom shakes now I want to get back without going all the way through chapter 3 again! Thanks!!

all you have to do is enter the door of the chapter on top of the tower then you can choose which chapter you want to go into

must be that only works after a chapter has been completely beaten because it takes me right to 3-1 when I go in that door. Damn, ah well. Climbing up that tree in 3-3 is a big pain in da arse...damn thanks tho!
