Pit of Trials is not hard, its just time consuming.
Back in the days of Mario games on SNES were FUN as hell. It had innovative level designs and monsters placed at strategic places that took timing and precision to beat. Also you couldn't just hang around taking forever to beat a level, you had a certain amount of time to finish it or you died.
