i was looking into this game about buying it in the near future, but i read a review on it, and it basically said this game is terrible, giving it a 1 out of 10.

It's most definitely not a 1/10.
I'd give it a 8/10 personally. If you're a fan of the paper mario series, this game is a must have, IMO. The gameplay is great, the 3D can get a little overbearing (can't find something? flip to 3D and 9 times out of 10, it will be there) The story is mainly what keeps you playing and laughing at the same time.
Overall, a good game to have in your collection.

It is very different from the first/second paper Marios because
1. Attacking is in real time.
2. 3D aspect really changes it, makes it harder.
3. I found it to be pretty easy (there is a part where unlimited enemies dropped from a pipe and I leveled up so much that the game got to be too easy afterwards)
4. Pixls, I actually wish they didn't change that part of the game...

Here are the good things:
1. Fairly long, especially with the 3D and all the extra stuff I would say it is a 25hour game.
2. You can play as Bowser, he kicks ass in SPM
3. VERY unique, just look at screen shots of it.
4. Challenging the puzzles were hard
5. Lots of pixls to help you

Overall I would give this a game 7 or a 7.5 out of 10.

i just started playing this and got through the first chapter and really enjoyed it. but with finals this week i have to take a break from it. after thursday i'll start it back up again.

I liked the previous Paper Mario games,but I was a little hesitant to buy the Wii version.Mainly based on the fact it isn't turn based like the previous games. I'm not a huge fan of platformers and really liked the turn based RPG style it had before. i may still get it... but I'm not crazy about it at the moment

The real time game play is very different from the turn based game style. And not in a good way. It makes the game very easy, there are a couple spots in the Wii Paper Mario where enemies constantly spawn. Making it a easy and great way to make exp. Which means you can level fast, making the rest of the game very easy.

I liked the second paper mario one Way Better.
