hmm i would think it would be the mario kart stage, but they haven't announced a metroid stage, so that is very plausible that the next stage would be metroid......or snake's.

No Captain Falco, Marth, Roy, Luigi, or Ness? What the heck!? We get pit, snake,Metaknight(awesome), and a pokemon trainer!? Thats like trading gold for rocks. The Pokemon, young link, Game and watch, Falco, Ganon, Dr. Mario needed to go.
