Golden hammers

I unknowingly used a few of my golden hammers to unlock pointless things (like things i could have easily done) and now I'm afraid I'm going to lose out on cool stuff that I could have used the hammers on (like intense difficulty items). Are there super cool things that I will miss if i can never beat stuff on intense difficulty?...or will i only miss out on various trophies?

don't worry. If you look at the backrounds of those things, they are mostly trophies and some music. all the stages can be unlocked easily. There isn't that much cool stuff after that.

Does anyone know how many hammers you get, and/or how you get them?

Most I know of is how to get them. Just complete all the challenges with a picture of a Golden Hammer behind them...

Or use a Golden hammer to unlock a challenge that contains a golden hammer
