SSBB Majorly updated?

I was doing a wii update. When i got on ssbb, i realized you cant change the settings and spectator mode has been disabled! But, so far in my games the lag has been majorly reduced. Please more info? Is there a changelog sort of thing that tells you the changes with the updates of brawl? Please let me know.

can you be more specific on cant change settings? i dont know which ones or do you mean all of them? and spectator been disabled? you must of done the wrong update or somthing.

Ok. I turn on my wii.
I click on the wii logo on the bottom left hand corner
I got to "Wii Settings"
I click the right arrow
I click "Internet"
I click "connection settings"
Select my connection
I select "Connection Test" then "Ok"
The test is successful, it asks me this:
"The connection test was successful.
Perform a Wii system update now?
Wii Support Code: 61212"
I select "Yes"
I select "I accecpt"
After the updates are done i start SSBB
I connect to nintendo wi-fi
When it is connected i only have 2 options that i can select:
With friends
-Brawl
-Friend Roster
-Team Multi-Man Brawl
-Home run contest
With Anyone
-Basic Brawl
-Team battle

Thats it =(

Lol i know. It was there until i did the wii update. I also can't change my recive settings either. But i still recieve stages, photos, and vids

I havent played brawl online yet. From what ive heard its crap. Though It may solely depend on connection strength.

I think the online play is allright, just get some friends and you're good to go.

cool thanks. Its just i got the wifi connector and everytime i install it, my computer thinks its a router and we cant get internet. And if theres a storm and the internet doesnt work it malfunctions and i have to un install it. I might as well throw that little bastard away and get a router lol.

I use a router. Make sure you have "all" ports open. UDP only. So no one knows why the "Spectator" option just dissapeared on me?

I was playing online yesterday and I saw nothing about updates.

I just checked for updates on the wii. I not exactly sure when i updated. If you click on the wii logo, on the main screen, then go to your wii settings, then test your internet connection, if it is successful it will ask if you want to check for updates. Thats what i did, and there was, after i did that the spectator mode dissapeared ><.

Edit:

Should i email nintendo about this, im just not sure if this is normal and if anyone else is experincing this problem or not.

Well this isn't exactly the same thing that happened to me. But when I first turned on my Wifi for Brawl I didn't have any of the options for the map of the day, replay, and picture and there was no spectator but eventually it showed up.

Maybe it will randomly come back?

Well, good news for all… as Nintendo has rectified the issue.

If you’re connecting for the first time today, you may still need to wait up to 24 hours before seeing Spectator Mode.

If you are still unable to see the Spectator Mode after 24 hours from your first online connection, please let us know by replying to this thread.

There still are a few issues with online play… but it appears Nintendo is trying to fix most of the problems as quickly as possible.

They will probably fix yours as well. As for the wi-fi brawls being less laggy, it was probably a coincidence. EDIT Yes I'm aware that it is not March 9th...

Where was this posted? I have already read that in the "Everything wrong with Super Smash Bros Brawl" section in the support area on nintendo.com. Spectator mode has been gone for about a month now ><.
