I found that event 41 had a weak spot like how jigglypuff could spam "rest" for event 51 in melee.
Basically, spamming toon link's down aerial will get you damage, kills, and spikes constantly, and keeps you out of danger. It's really cheap, but that's not the point.
A lot of the Co-op events are really hard though.
