its got a scratch in a circle around it, and now it stops every 5 seconds any ideas?

I think it needs something like toothpaste in the scratch and then polish it..

When that happened to mine, I did the unthinkable and spent $40.00 on a new Brawl disc.

Also try a q-tip and rubbing alcohol.
Works better than toothpaste

If so, it's almost impossible to fix.
Ninty might send you a new disc, since it's likely that your wii did that.

If it is a perfect circle, then the poster above is right, it was your Wii that did that. You can only hope they let you change it with a new copy.
