Try buying a wireless N gaming router from DLINK,that is if you can afford it.
With it Lag is no longer an excuse.
I have a standard N router,not a gaming one.

It is true in some cases that lag is caused by a poor wireless signal, but often lag is caused by the physical distance between the players, and there is little you can do about it.

Also, from what I've read, the Wii is currently not compatible with 802.11n.

I can connect flawlessly with a lot of Cali players (west coast US), and I'm way down in south-central US. I've also played a guy from Brazil with little lag issues and a guy from Canada who also had playable connection quality.

Physical location is a factor no doubt (and I hear there are buffer zones that prevent any good connections), but I think it has more to do with signal quality.

You could see parts were reactions were slower from lag. My WiFi connection is normal wifi from a normal Internet company. RedX says that he lives in the UK and I live in California, US so the distance may of caused lag.

Edit: Oh yeah it was my fault I became confused with who i brawled Jon with so here are the real ones,i checked the replays.

I had the samus confused with a different match with someone else.
