k so i just bought a Freeloader for my New Zealand Wii to play the Japanese SSBB game but when i put the Freeloader in all i get is:

1) the Freeloader logo pops up for a second and then disappears.
then when i try play the game after entering the game the screen goes black
and stays black.

2) i tried using the 'upgrade' function with the Freeloader which basically caused
the same as above apart from the disc takes ages to eject.

what the hell am i meant to do + have i just wasted $40 on a stupid Freeloader which doesnt work?

FEEDBACK REALLY REALLY APREESHED.

You have to have your console set to 60hz for it to work ok. Just go to wii settings and change the Tv type to 60hz

When I first used the Freeloader, I had to insert it and eject it twice before inserting Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Good luck.

If youve got an RGB cable plugged in TAKE IT OUT! Then switch it to 60hz.
I had the same problem, my dad used the cheap wii cable that comes with it.
I have the game it's great fun.
By the way thanks for your help that time and then!
