Melee or Brawl?
All these post gave me an idea:
Which is Better Melee or Brawl?
I say they are pretty even, but Melee takes it for the win because the loading doesn't take forever....

I don't think loading should be taken into consideration really, because there so many actual gameplay aspects to focus on.
Out of the two, I favor the one that actually takes skill.

Melee had a better combat system and took a bit more skill, but Brawl had many more features, characters and stages. They're pretty much even as my favorite game of all time.

Melee fights were more fast paced. I dont like how they changed that in brawl. It's not as fun this way. If brawl was as fast paced as melee it would be perfect. But I'm gonna have to say brawl cause it has more playablecharacters, more stages, and more features.

in time i believe that the level of competition melee reached will be equaled in brawl. give it a year or so. and i still think brawl takes skill. but given the discoveries so far... the skill required in melee far surpasses it for the time being

Not to be mean nor nothing but Prez you are probably the best brawler on wiichat so in a way your stating that you have no skill at all lol, Brawl takes skill just less than melee, Just wait someone is bound to find a glitch that will take skill
I perfer Brawl becuase of online i live by no one to paly with otherwise,
Melee was good for seperating the men from the boys

I can remember the days of anticipating a Melee-esque game with polished characters, perfected movesets and decent online gameplay like they were yesterday...

Yes I play and enjoy Brawl, it is a great game. Just compared to it's predecessor it has significant flaws. I am still playing Melee a lot more than Brawl, and am very much enjoying the competitive scene of Melee than that of Brawl. Brawl in a way does not really have a competitive scene. Yes, there are some Brawl tournaments here and there, but Melee is still greatly overshadowing Brawl because competitive Melee players are still greater in number than all the newcomers that just like Brawl.
Basically, no one expects you to really appreciate Melee if you did not play it competitively. The people who enjoy Brawl are mostly those who never played Mel | |
