That only cost me £40.
Still haven't got the chance to use it =/

And original Leicas can range from around £200 for an M2 body, up to about £4,000 for a mint condition boxed with lenses. Which is why I settled for a replica =P

Another shot I took actually earlier today. Once again scaled down from it's original size.

It was for an assignment, 20 images with the same object as the focal.

That's quite an interesting setup. Very good use of focal distance and the such. Top marks I presume

How have I not posted in this thread till now? No idea. I'll get a photo of my camera gear up soonish.

Nice shots BlueOvalBoy.

Heres some camera porn:

Canon 24-105L ... SIGMA 8mm FISHEYE ... CANON 450D ... 580EX II Speedlite

And heres what that 8mm Fisheye can do:

And for band photography, unfortunately out of focus, was taken an hr after I got the lens:

I like the fisheye, pretty sweet results. How do you like the camera, from what I read it sounds like it has quite a few useful features.

Haha....the camera honestly....really is quite budget. But I mean as an entry-level camera, its pretty damn good for the price.

I dont like the Nikon interface, and apparently their lenses are on average more expensive, so being the student that I am, I opted for the easier to use, cheaper option.

Oddly...my 8mm SIGMA is marginally sharper than my 24-105, which shouldnt be right...

(If you are thinking of going digital SLR, there really are only 2 choices: Nikon or Canon. Both brands have so many lenses and accessories to choose from, you cant go wrong).

For a "budget" camera it seems like it takes some pretty damn good photos. I've been contemplating between the Canons and Nikons for when I finally can afford a DSLR and since I've been using a Nikon I'm used to it's interface, but then again I know you can't go wrong with Canon. It's just finding a model that isn't too pricey and that is going to have the features I need/want. I've been looking at the XSi and XTi Canons and the D90 and D80 Nikons.

Heh...parents just gave me their old camera stuffs.

Problem is the camera has been stolen, so I've received a padded bag, some lens cleaning fluid, a Ricoh camera manual and an old school Haminex flash.

With regards to the Nikon/Canon thing, it's pretty much just which one your more comfortable using now. Their so similar and both such high standard cameras (entry level such as Canon 400/450D and something like a Nikon D40) that you can't go wrong with either. It's just which ones you'd prefer using I reckon.

Man I can't wait to get driving so I can get around to take some pictures.

No idea about a DSLR, but an SLR is pretty simple to use; you just have to get used to adjusting your exposure and focus.
I assume a DSLR would be the same, just with the added digital interface and features.

I'm thinking about getting me one, maybe with graduation money...
It couldn't hurt to make a little money from photography on the side. xD

Just keep in mind that a dSLR doesnt make you a good photographer! It just allows you to get better shots in less light, and gives you better depth-of-field.

Definately consider one, and as said, to really get 'pro photos' you will have to drop big money on expensive lenses. (To give you even better low light performance, more depth of field, and better sharpness/colour).

I think anyone with a bit of knowledge can work out an SLR, and in the meantime there is the full Auto mode until you feel comfortable trying the Manual stuff.

Example of low-light performance...this was taken in restaurant with dull flourescent lights:
