even if cds are technically superior many people think vinyl somehow still sounds better. why?

Because it's vintage and its more authentic.

I go vinyl anyday.

You can't DJ with CD's

I'm vinyl all the way. I even have the new Metallica album on vinyl, and it sounds a hell of a lot better (doesn't have the shitty audio compression they used on the CD)


My vinyl thread got deleted, maybe I should repost it...

i like the sound of vinyl and the feel of a record in my hand, but prefer MP3 for storage and convenience.

Oh my, I didn't realise there were other audiophiles here.


Vinyl for me, but I don't mind CD's also.

Plus, need a good record player.. if the player sucks, then you might as well settle with CD.

Also, it can be difficult to even tell any difference between vinyl & CD if your audio source is poor, be it low-end speakers, or cheap headphones.. or just cheap equipment in general.
