Just saw the videos, and I have two suggestions:
1) the FAIL in your video was genius. I authorize you to put that on my suicides, it made me lol.
2) I think that since you are able to put text in a battle, you should put the names of the fighters over their characters at the beginning when both are using the same character. For example, when GC fought JR they were both using Captain Falcon and it gets confusing since P1 and P2 don't really say anything. So during the "3,2,1...GO!" you could clarify who's who and then remove the text.

Geez, you guys are playing matches like crazy.

@anax: Yeah, I prefer the simplicity and red color scheme from the old appearance, too. The extra graphics and added blue in this latest makeover isn't bad, but I think it makes things look a little too busy.

Anyway, if your dorm room has an ethernet port, you should be good to go (after getting a LAN adapter + ethernet cable).

If you want to play in a fairly even match, it would make sense to play people close to your skill level. If you want to test your skills, play someone you know is much more skilled.
