2 player mode in Dance Dance trouble (#2 controller)

Anybody ever have this problemin Dance Dance revolution???

In 2 player choreograph mode on Konami Dance dance revolution, the #2 controller doesn't register. I've switched Wii controllers and that didn't fix it.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

After more testing we determined it was the dance mat. getting a new one and hope that fixes it.
