Activision clearly realizes that it’s onto a great thing with its Cabela’s hunting-themed franchise, and judging by today’s announcement of a brand new game in the series – Cabela’s Adventure Camp – Activision fully intends to keep on expanding and growing the incredibly popular series. Adventure Camp brings something a little different this time around, being a motion-based game with easy-to-learn gameplay revolving around summer camp activities, such as biking and water sports.

“We are thrilled to bring the fun and enjoyment of the outdoors to living rooms around the country as parents share the love of these traditionally outdoor activities with their kid,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President of Activision Publishing. “We are excited to offer a family bonding experience in this motion-oriented, active participation, social gathering title!”

Among the many summer time activities featured are Thrill Hill Biking, Wild River Kayaking, Full Throttle Wave Riding and many more. Also introduced is the intriguing feature called Interactive Griefing, which enables idle player to give others grief by knocking down trees and rocks, creating in-game obstacles that will really stir things up with their rivals. The controls have been tailored to suit each specific system, and are simple and easy for even the youngest gamers to learn.

Cabela’s Adventure Camp will be released for all major consoles including the Wii on November 1.
