american games on uk wii?

can you do that? its just im going to canada in the summer and my friend can get cheap wii games, will i be able to use them on my console? im pretty sure you cant but im just asking anyway

Not without a modchip like WiiKey, which supports the majority of NTSC (Canada) games on PAL (UK) systems.

Fitted my wiikey a couple of weeks ago, it's playing ntsc games no probs. Got my folks sendin games out, happy days :smilewinkgrin: NTSC framrate is faster but quality is a little less, hardly noticeable.
Anyone want a wiikey fitted, I'm offering a while 'u' wait service if you are near the Wirral, I'll even let you play on my wii!
