Application Error with Connector

I've searched all over the net for answers but I have yet to find one, I really am frustrated and I am hoping you good people will have a solution. I recently bought a Nintendo Wifi USB connector, because my other one mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth. Well after buying it I wanted to install it on my computer, I knew the drill already, as the set up was going it got to a point where an error bubble popped up this is what it said: Please insert Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector into your computer's USB port. Then the the setup closes on it's own after an application error. There is no error code, and no help for me, can anyone help? Please I am extremely desperate, I got Brawl and the very same day I looked for my original connector I turned my room into a crime scene trying to find it, I gave up and bought a new one, now I have a new problem....

Try going into add/remove programs in Control Panel, uninstall the Nintendo software and reinstall.
