whats the average age for a person to get a laptop?
idk, but next year (9th grade) i will be getting a laptop free from my school, its a school that Bill Gates funds, its clled Isaac Bear Early College (google it)
but its going to be vista, but i love Macs, but hey its free
hey, thats pretty cool. I got mine in seventh grade when i saved up for two years and then split the cost with my mom..
good for you i am never really able to save my money
Eh, around here, It's generally to go to college with. so 17/18 ish.
Yeah. It'll be the same for me.
i saved up and bought a used one when I was 16. Then again, it broke a year later, bought another one for 2,000$ when I was 22.
They are pretty affordable nowadays. Check out ibuypower.com and look into Sager Laptops (but dont buy directly from sager, lol they over charge).
Summer jobs (Construction) . And one summer, I decided to save up for a laptop for 12th grade. So 16 at the time.
I keep almost buying a laptop but then I tell myself that I don't need one and get an equal desktop for cheaper instead. I'm pretty sure my next computer is going to be a MacBook or a MacBook Pro though. I will probably get one when Leopard comes out.
My nephew has one (about 4) its a shity old one
I has one
My Mum has one (50 something)
18 is the average age, when you go to college.
Got mine at 25 or 26, then sold it a little while later. I can see how a laptop would be perfect for college.
Meh, Got a old one when i was 16 installed xp on it and sold it for double what i payed. Thats the only laptop I've had and or wanted.
after a lengthy study i have calculated that the proper age for buying a laptop is 19 years 3 months....that part was easy....the hard part is calculating the age you learn that laptops are more expensive and are rubbish and that normal PCs are far superior..
Its usually 18, the age when most students enter University. I got mine just one month before I was to start my first day at Uni.
Yeah, it's university, after all, our government funds us so that nearly everyone gets one.
I got my first one when I started Uni and then another one when I got my new job.
I think it depends on your situation really, I got mine not long after my 15th birthday.
I had a pc at home but it was rather crappy and VERY slow, so I asked my mum for a new one but she wouldn't pay for one. But on my 15th birthday I could access this savings account she did for me since I was born, so she said I could use some money from in there to get myself a laptop or pc.
Well because my parents are divorced and live about an hour away from each other I end up traveling quite a bit, so I thought I'd get a laptop to use up my fathers too
Quite cool actually, I could only take out £100 a day, so it was the week I was doing work experience and I went to the bank after work every day and took out £100, on the Saturday I went to buy it and the dud asked how I was paying an I was like  cash and he was like 'woah really, lemmie see!' ...lol
I would say when your around the age of 17/18 only because you don't really need one when your in high school.
