Benefits of goat herding

Are there any benefits to herding the goats into the barn? i.e. Piece of Heart for beating it under 2 minutes.

Yeah. You get a piece of heart for goat herding. I went back and got that heart piece later on. You might not be able to do it at the very beginning of the game.
