Guys, i just want to know what you guys think. Is SSBB the best fighting game of them all!
<Insert laughing track>
Thats a good joke.
SSBB one of the best fighting games ever.
lol ssbb can't compare to games like soul calbur 2 and melee
and they don't compare to Garou and Virtua fighter 5
or evander holyfields's "Real deal" Boxing.
SSBB cannot be better then the original Super Smash Bros. I don't skip classes to play Brawl with my buddies, oh no, I skip to play some old smash.
How is the old Smash better then Brawl? Besides nostalgia, of course.
I dont usually play fighting games, so I dont know.
It is, indeed, the best fighting game for BigN, fans, incuding me, but is also a lot different than other fighting games, so with things is your opinion what really matters (without being a jerk, of course)
SSBB is NOT the best fighting game.
Obviously it's not, since someone like you thinks they're a "king" at it.
But it's still epic.
There is no best fighting game, period. If you want to be technical, it all comes down to personal preferrence and opinion to pinpoint something as best. Brawl has it's own incredibly-well done niche (a 2D fighting game, but a huge departure from things such as Guilty Gear or Street Fighter), as do games like Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi or Dissidia Final Fantasy (3D environments; although I still hate Tenkaichi, so I'm too biased to judge).
My own opinion regards Brawl up there with one of the best fighting games for it's unique and simple, but incredibly competitive gameplay, as well as in the higher tiers of Smash gaming, it's complexity. I've never seen a more intense and fast-paced fighting game (but still manages to have long matches) on a competitive level; aside from melee ofcourse, nothing will ever compare to melee. But at the same time, I'm no longer well versed in fighting games, although I can guarentee my love for Brawl wouldn't be felled by your mainstream fighters like Street Fighter these days. So yet again I'm biased... but hey, opinions gotta start somewhere.
BlazBlue does intrigue me, though...
Mario Party minigame Bumper Balls. Chock-full of fighting.
I love how Nintendocam completely ignored my question about how the original SSB could be better than Brawl.
And yeah, CKs right. This is all opinion.
*scoff* I did not ignore it. I just had to adress the current post at hand first.
Yes, SSB is better than brawl in my eyes. But because of my memories that i've had and yet to have when playing. For 'tis the mind that makes the game rich. And as the sun breaks through even the darkest clouds, so honor peereth through the oldest of games.
Why is the jay more precious than the lark, because his feathers are more beautiful? Now ask that same question regarding Super Smash Brothers. And now you know my meaning.
i dont know... street fighter and mortal kombat are equal i think
but smash bros is my fav fighter series..
my fav in the series is the 64 one.. i fricken love that one.
I can certainly tell you love playing with words.
Those two poetic paragraphs do little more than praise the game in memory of, rather than it's actual gameplay value and the like. I have a feeling, although certainly without anything to base it off of, that a truthful response is that "it's more fun, plain and simple", yeah? Brawl is better as a game for it's extended roster, wi-fi, graphics (ugh...), story mode, replay value, collectibles, improvements on EVERYTHING 64 had, etc. etc. etc...
Except for the classic feeling of simplicity and speed. In a sense, anyone can claim 64, or while on this matter, melee is a better game because it's more fun. While I can relate to this, with and without nostalgia, Brawl is still the superior game over the both of them. What's fun and what's isn't is to each their own, after all.
I will however add that I do play 64 with my gamer posse every once in awhile, and we'd do the same if any of our Melee's still worked.
What's the point of playing a game if it isn't fun?
"Oh I really wanna play some N64 smash because it's so fun, but I know for a fact the brawl is logically proven superior in style, art, and variety, and therefore brawl = more fun."
Obviously a typical conversation one would hear every day.
And that, is why the term fanboy exists.
By the by, if you thought I meant I play Brawl even though I think 64 is superior, that isn't what I meant to say. I think Brawl is superior and more fun compared to 64, really. My point was I still play 64 for the nostalgia factor.
Not by a long shot.
To see how bad it is?
I have played some right rubbish in my pursuit of finding out if it is that bad
Although that thought crosses my mind every now and then, I don't like playing bad games, or wasting time trying to find it out. Haven't you ever seen a Gamefly commercial?
